Version 1 October 2026
Technician terms
These terms are between you, the technician, and Pest Perfection ("we", "us"). They apply when you create a technician account and while your profile is on the site. You accept them by ticking the box on your account page.
1. Who can join
- You must hold the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management, or an equivalent qualification, and upload it when you sign up.
- You must be at least 18, have the right to work in the UK, and finish Stripe's onboarding so you can be paid.
- You're responsible for any insurance, licences and registrations the law or your trade body requires for the work you take on.
2. You work for yourself
- You are an independent technician, not our employee or agent. The contract for each job is between you and the customer.
- Customers see you as a verified Pest Perfection technician. Your proposals and visits must make clear that you are the one carrying out the work.
- You are responsible for the work you do, for following the law and product labels, and for any loss or damage you cause. We provide the platform and the checks, and are not liable for loss or damage caused by a technician.
- You handle your own tax and, if you're registered, VAT. The price a customer sees is the final price they pay.
3. Your profile
- Everything on your profile must be true. Customers see your photo, your first name and the first letter of your surname. They never see your business name or contact details.
- Don't put phone numbers, email addresses, web addresses or social media handles anywhere on your profile.
- We can edit or remove anything on a profile that breaks these terms.
4. Prices and proposals
- You set your own "from" price for each service you offer. It must be a price you would really charge for a job of that kind. Don't use a low figure just to get enquiries.
- You quote each job in a written proposal through the site: the price, the visit date and time, and how long the proposal stays valid. You choose how long that is.
- Work comes with a guarantee of at least 3 months unless your proposal says otherwise. If the same pest comes back in the treated area in that time, you return and treat it again at no charge.
- Whether you take emergency or out-of-hours jobs is up to you, and you may price them higher.
5. Payments and our fee
- Customers pay through the site. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by connecting your account you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
- We take a fee of 25% of each job's price. There is no fee to join and nothing to pay for enquiries.
- The customer's payment is held and released to you 48 hours after you mark the job done, unless the customer raises a problem first.
6. Talking to customers
- You and the customer talk only through the site's messages. Don't ask for or share phone numbers, emails or addresses before the customer has paid. Messages are checked and contact details are hidden until then.
- Don't arrange to do a job you found through Pest Perfection outside the site, or ask a customer to pay you another way.
7. The automatic rules
- If a customer cancels more than 24 hours before the visit, they get a full refund. Less than 24 hours before, you keep 25% of the price as a call-out fee.
- If you haven't marked yourself as arrived within 2 hours of the booked slot, the customer can take a full refund and you get a strike. Three strikes hide your profile.
- If a customer raises a problem, you have 48 hours to put it right or respond. After that it comes to us to decide.
- If no technician replies to a request within 24 hours, we may offer it to another technician.
8. Checks, suspension and removal
Your profile goes live as soon as your sign-up is complete. We check every certificate by hand. We can suspend, ban or remove a technician at any time, for example for giving false information, a certificate we can't accept, poor workmanship, repeated complaints or breaking these terms.
9. Your information
We use your details to run your account, check your qualification, show your profile and pay you. Our privacy notice explains how.
10. Leaving
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Jobs already booked are finished or refunded under these terms.
11. Changes
If we change these terms, we'll show the new version on your account page and ask you to accept it.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
